ENG / Engineering: Engineering databases

What's in a name?

You may be asked to select the desired publication type when browsing the databases.

There are various publication types, but in general, the difficulty of the material in ascending order is  "magazines", "trade publications" followed by "journals", and "conference proceedings".

Specialist Databases

Cirium is a leading aerospace database providing access to aviation analytics, including airline schedules and routes, aircraft configurations, passenger record numbers and historical flight data among others. Aviation Management (T04) and Aerospace Engineering (T51) students may find this database to be particularly useful.

All Engineering students may also find the Singapore Standards database useful. Standards are industry best practices which provide guidance in areas such as design, use or performance of materials, products, processes, services and systems. Search by standard numbers [e.g. SS ISO 9000 or SS 585] for more accurate results.

Specialist engineering publications

The Singapore Engineer

The Singapore Engineer has been in publication since 2000, and covers all areas of engineering. It is published on a monthly basis, and the latest six issues are available here.

Older archived issues can be browsed via ISSUU.
