Design of the Gallery

The design of the Gallery was conceptualized by a team of students from the School of Design's Diploma in Interior Architecture & Design, Class of 2021. Their design was inspired by architect, James Stirling, who designed TP campus.

The team was comprised of Jared Daniel De Souza, Woon Jun Kai Justin, Leeroy Tay, Ee Qing Guang, Aric, Muhammad Shahrul Bin Nordin and Suresh Kumar Deepika Devi (more information).

The Instagrammable Wall was created by a team of students, Sadhna Saku, Clara Chen Yanjun and Nurul Syazwina Bte Mohd Rawi from the School of Design’s Diploma in Communication Design, Class of 2021. With its bright and vibrant colours and the distinctive horseshoe-shaped central architecture of the polytechnic, the TP campus is transformed into a perfect, illustrated backdrop for taking photos.

Visitors, students, staff, and alumni are invited to pen their thoughts and well wishes for the polytechnic on cards provided at the Memory Wall.

Exhibition Area

The Gallery's exhibition area showcases TP’s milestones and achievements, narrating the TP Story through the shared experiences and successes of its staff, students, and alumni. Centered around the Temasek Student Profile, the exhibition entitled “Learner, Creator, Leader” captures the essential attributes that Temasek Polytechnic instils in its students, shaping them into lifelong learners, future-oriented creators, and values-centered leaders.

The exhibition area at Temasek Gallery aims to nurture a shared sense of identity and purpose while inspiring confidence in our collective future for students, alumni, staff, partners, and visitors.

Gallery Collection

Since 2016, the library has been building the Gallery collection by identifying and selecting works produced or published by the TP community, past and present. The collection comprises of books, films, and other materials created by staff, students, and alumni. These materials are available for loan by staff and students.
