Transcultural Studies: Managing Diversity at Work


Having a global mindset doesn’t mean knowing about what happens in the world only. It also means that we need to deal with people who are different from us – be it in our daily lives or in our workplaces. In this highly mobilised world, we see people from different cultures working together all the time. Hence, it is important for us to understand the concepts of identity, diversity and inclusion at the workplace. Once we understand the relationship between identity and diversity, which could include nationality, generation, ethnicity, and gender, we will see the benefits and challenges of diversity. Progressively, companies are promoting inclusion in the workplace as it inspires collaboration in a diverse environment.
