Transcultural Studies: Expressions of Culture


Global mindset is not just about environment, economics, or politics. Dealing with human beings means that there are many intangible factors that shaped who they are. These factors include their culture and heritage. This section leads us to explore culture and heritage through different modes of expression. How can we decipher cultures through everyday objects, places and human behaviour seen through time and space? What are the issues and challenges in culture and heritage sustainability in community, national and global contexts? An understanding in each other’s culture and heritage draws people closer, and finds us allies in the workplace.
