How Your Students Can Access LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning contains videos and courses, where a course is defined as being made up of multiple videos. There are a few methods for sharing the videos and courses. The two most popular methods are to embed the course directly in LMS, and to include a hyperlink to the course in LMS.

Embedding in LMS

This is the easiest method for students to access an entire LinkedIn Learning course but requires a few steps to set up. Students will be automatically logged into LinkedIn Learning with their TP userid & password.

Note: It is strongly recommended to logout of LinkedIn Learning before attempting to embed content in LMS. This is because LinkedIn Learning will refuse to connect if a duplicate login is detected.

1. In your LMS course site, click on the blue Add Existing Content button. Under What would you like to add, select More. If you do not see the Add Existing Content button, you may not have the permission levels required.

2. Scroll down to Third Party and click on LinkedIn Learning.

3. Search for the course or video which you wish to include:

4. Scroll down to review the search results, then click on Add followed by the blue Confirm button to add the content to your course site. Do remember to check the newly added video. All done!

Hyperlink to the Course

You can also choose to include a hyperlink to the course in LMS. Do note that it is not recommended to simply copy the link in your browser's address bar.

After opening the course you are interested in, click on the Share icon on the top right, select Link, then either Share this course or Share current video.

Finally, click on the blue Copy button to obtain the hyperlink. You can now include it in your LMS site.

Other Methods

You can also choose to allow your students to access LinkedIn Learning using the following two methods:

A. Through the link from the library homepage, under E-resources > By content type > Videos

Students can search by keywords or the title of the specific course or video.

B. You can also share your Collection, if your course has already been added to it. [link to instructions].
