Standards are published documents that provide guidelines and specifications for the use, design, performance or testing of materials, processes, products, services or systems. The benefits of using standards include improved productivity, enhanced uniformity, assurance of quality and risk reduction.
Locally, the standardization process is administered by Enterprise Singapore through Singapore Standards Council, which establishes and reviews Singapore Standards and Technical References. Standards are usually developed through adoption of international standards or created through inputs from various industries.
TP Library subscribes to Singapore Standards Subscription Service. Hard copies of selected Singapore Standards are available from the Restricted Loan Collection.
